Fresh 15mm meat for the wastelands

Hello and welcome back.

I have managed to get some 15mm figures painted for my Sci Fi Post Apoc setting (although they would work for Sci Fi too). I would have posted these last week but some of the photos were all blurry.  It took me all week to get new pictures.

Dwayne O Jones

Dwayne O Jones is a rookie character for the Guardians. They recruited him in their recent visit to the town of Oasis. I planned a 5 Clicks from the zone campaign and during the base phase the team got a new recruit to add to their mission. The figure is from the Ion Age Range by Alternative Armies.

This is an armoured character from the Ion Age range. I intend this figure to be used later on during the planned Guardians 5 Clicks from the zone campaign. No name ideas for her yet.

Zoomie

Zoomie is just another wasteland character. I am not sure how this figure will be used yet. She is a Santa’s elf from Alternative Armies Seasonal Range.

The mechanic

Every township or space port needs a mechanic to carry out essential repairs. He is an asteroid miner from the shm & Star Viking range by alternative armies.

Q3C3

Q3C3 is a droid that can be found wandering the wastelands or hanging about star ports making annoying beeping noises. These droids are often used by miscreants for target practice. I am not sure what line the figure is from. It came to me in a big box of 15mm figures donated by a friend. It is a GZG figure I suspect.

The Wyrd Sisters.

The Wyrd sisters live out in the Styx and come into town when they need supplies. It is rumoured that they are witches. No one has ever approached them about these rumours. Not because they fear witch craft but because these ladies carry plasma brooms (essentially plasma rifles with bristles glued to the stock) which they are quick to use. I had two of these figures in the pile however as witches covens are supposed to come in threes, I think I will have to get another figure. Maybe a scenario with these ladies hunting their lost sister could be played?

The Crusher

The Crusher is a fearsome mutant found in the wastelands, often in old tunnels. At night they emerge to terrorise settlements. Standing over 4 meters high these monsters cause much damage and are not easy to kill.

Sadly there was no suitable 15mm figure for this monster. This crusher was a 28mm fantasy Orc. I added some 15mm skulls to it so it scales better with my 15mm figures. Every nasty critter needs a necklace made from human skulls.

Fantasy dudes

This is a couple of fantasy figures painted by my friend Xander. The scale doesn’t work for him so he gifted them to me. A quick rebase and they are done. No idea of the figure line. They remind me of a certain film.

Thanks for looking.

Take Care out there.

15mm scale Guardians

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

Time for some 15mm fun.

Fans of my 28mm MBW stuff may remember the Guardians. A quick overview of the faction. The Guardians are a pseudo cult that looks to stop old world technology being misused, usually be seizing control of it. In their creed technology destroyed the world and they seek to limit its use to say the future. Think of a twisted copy of the Brotherhood of Steel from the Fallout video games.

For a some time now the Guardians at Titansark have been picking up an variety of radio signals. Some seem to be from survivors, one is encrypted with a possibility of being generated by another high tech group, there is an automated one from a old government bunker and more intriguing there seems to be a radio station transmitting survival tips - known as Radio Survivor.

Team Balthazar left Titansark on an old aerial transporter under the cover of night. It was to complete a circuit of the world continent out over the seas triangulating the signals for possible further investigation. This was to try and keep the element of secrecy about the Guardians and the location of Titansark.

The transporter lost power 2500 miles into it’s journey and plunged into an dried sea bed. Apart from some bruises and scratches the team survived unscathed, largely due to their light power armour. After stripping the crash site of anything they could use they headed towards a nearby headland.

Up on the old headland they discovered the ruins of a destroyed enclave. After investigating the team found a reasonably intact building that was easy to secure. Within days they had salvaged what they could, built crude barricades and managed to get power running.

They discovered that the enclave was called Bushland, possibly founded by SOS bunker or Ark survivors. There was no clue to the identity of the raiders or their motives for the attack.

Once the Bushland radio system was repaired the Guardians used it to get more triangulation of the various broadcasts. Reporting their findings and plight to Titansark they were informed that they were on their own. Senior Knight Balthazar was promoted to Master Knight. Team Balthazar have been tasked with founding a Guardian chapter at Bushland. Radio transmission to Titansark should only be made when vital to keep its location secure.

They are to continue the Guardians ethic of locating and securing the dangerous technology. They will need to recruit from the local population as there is little chance of reinforcements from Titansark.

They are not to interfere with the good work of Radio Survivor and assist if possible or needed. Bushland chapter should continue to investigate the sources of the encrypted radio signals but be wary. The originators of the encrypted signals may be hostile to the Guardians.

The Bushland chapter have found some maps made by the predecessors of the enclave. They highlight possible towns out in the wastelands. The closest is over 40 miles away. They would have to visit the towns for supplies, intel and possible new recruits.

These figures are Prydian Retained Knight personalities (BALTHAZAR AND JEROME, ELLEN AND RIPLEY) by Ion Age carried by Alternative Armies.

Thanks for reading. Stay safe out there.
